I’m just wondering how it feels to be hypnotized,haven’t you? This would seem at first to be relaxing. Has the idea of self hypnosis ever crossed your mind? When you are hypnotizing yourself, it is called self-hypnosis. This means there are no fancy doctor’s visits and no expensive bills to pay. Some people like to perform self-hypnosis just for fun! First go to a place where you have privacy and you will not be bothered. Where ever it takes place, you should be comfortable and able to relax. No distractions should be around you. This is very important.

Next you must clear the mind of everything but relaxing thoughts. Your job, money, family, and all other stresses can be included. Release them. Thinking about your dream vacation getaway or simply a waterfall can be soothing to your mind. Give yourself the opportunity to be totally enveloped by the moment. You might crave to have a small fan in the environment as a variety of white noise or maybe even a beneficial waterfall device to help you relax

When your mind slows and you are relaxed, you can concentrate on the tension escaping your body. Imagine the tension as knots of stress seeping out through different areas of your body and vanishing into thin air. Start with your toes and work your way up to your legs, midsection, back, hands, fingers, neck, and head. You should have a feeling of absolute relaxation.

Continue to practice deep breathing to keep yourself relaxed. As you are slowly and deeply breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth, you will need to make sure that your eyes are closed. Your body must be approximately completely calm at this position.

At this point, you are going to be ready to convince yourself of whatever it is you are trying to achieve. Imagine swimming toward boxes when you are trying to meet your goals and convince yourself with the positive influence of the boxes. When you are finished, imagine yourself either walking back up the steps or opening a door that leads back to your life. During the whole routine think positively. This process will probably take a few times for you to master, however, remember that practicing it will make you perfect. Self-hypnosis can be effective for losing weight, quitting smoking or even to improve your self esteem.
